The Black Squad table by Akante is an articulated coffee table built with three rectangular plates; two bottom plates with smaller dimensions and a bigger top plate of 80 cm by 80 cm. When the two bottom plates are closed, they are hidden beneath the larger upper plate. When they are open, they rotate outwards expanding the table's dimensions to 118 cm by 80 cm. The base is made of black laquered steel to ensure rock solid stability. The bottom plates are both made of 10 mm thick tempered glass while the top plate is made of glass with argile ceramic or steel ceramic glued on top. The accompanying photo presents argile ceramic version, (Spanish made) glued upon 6 mm thick glass pane making it highly-resistant as well as chic and practical. A real delight to behold!
